SATURDAY, MARCH 23 – SUNDAY, APRIL 7

Johnstown Castle Easter Trail

Visit Johnstown Castle for their exciting Easter Trail, which will run from Saturday, March 23, till April 7 the trail will take you around both the museum and the beautiful gardens. Along the way, hunt for clues, find out the bunny’s identity and you may stumble on a very eggcellent prize. On Easter Weekend, you might even bump into the Easter Bunny.

Tickets will cost €10 per child aged five and over, and €5.50 per child with valid membership. (membership card to be presented on the day). Adult members go free.

Secret Valley Wildlife Park

Little Helper Experience (children aged five to nine)

An exciting event designed for children aged kfive to nine who have an interest in animals and nature. This is a one person event that brings laughter and excitement to all of its visitors. During the Little Helper Experience, your child will have the chance to engage with various animals, including friendly farm animals and fascinating wildlife. From feeding and petting to learning interesting facts, your little ones will be captivated by this hands-on experience.

Our dedicated team of experts will guide the children through interactive activities, ensuring they have a blast while gaining valuable knowledge about animals and their habitats.

Johnstown Children’s Easter Show

Johnstown Castle is hosting a Children’s Easter Show, which will be held in their fabulous ballroom on the grounds. They will be joined by Tallulah and the Long-Haired Hare from Liverpool, a comedy duo for children, guaranteed to make you laugh.

There will be a dramatic and amusing storytelling of the classic fable the Hare and the Tortoise, but with a captivating twist.

The show will start at 3 p.m. and is 55 minutes long. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

North Wexford Historical Society Talk in Gorey Library

There will be a series of talks held in Gorey Library on the last Thursday of each month. All are welcome to these talks, which will have a different topic and speaker each month.

Talk starts at 7 p.m. Booking is required as space is limited.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The Irish Heritage Park in Wexford is holding the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Have a blast following clues, exploring the grounds and receive a delicious Easter Egg when you bring back your answers. Easter Egg tickets include full access to the park.

Park opening times are 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., last entry time 4 p.m.

Opera House 60th Anniversary Festival

Easter Weekend at Wells House and Gardens

With a cracking Easter weekend planned at Wells House and Gardens, Wexford, enjoy the Fairytale Fun and Tride Rides in the Arboretum and meet some of your favourite characters from stories, nursery rhymes and films and to finish on a high, enjoy a train ride. On Easter Sunday there will be small animal handling and glitter tattoos on the grounds for all visitors to enjoy, as well as the adventure playground, exciting woodland walks and more. Along with all of this is the Easter Egg Hunt held on Easter Sunday – find and collect the eggs left by the Easter Bunny themself and win a yummy chocolate reward.

Hook Head Lighthouse Easter Egg Hunt and games

Enjoy a fantastic weekend of fun at Hook Head Lighthouse where an exciting easter egg hunt, games and other entertainment will be held on the grounds. Arts and crafts sessions will also be available through the school break and Easter weekend from 11 a.m... but beware – Pirate Pat and his crew will be around and if something goes wrong – adults will be made walk the plank.

Guided tours are also on offer seven days a week, sharing detailed information on the world’s oldest original operating lighthouse.

A Night with the Country Stars at the National Opera House

Back by popular demand are six of Ireland’s top performers for ‘A Night with the Country Stars’. The fantastic show features the gentle giant of country Mick Flavin, who is celebrating 50 years in music, the magnificent John McNicholl, the energetic Shawn Cuddy, the accordion maestro from Roscommon, Brendan Shine, the wee man from Drumlish Co.Longford, Declan Nerney and the out-of-this-world vocals of Sligo’s Patrick Feeney.

Easter Creative Four Day Camps

Caroline Bergin, a Gorey artist, is hosting two camps of four fun filled days of creativity for kids aged five to 13 years. Each day is filled with lots of creative projects sure to spark young minds’ imagination at her studio on Esmonde Street, Gorey. If your child has an interest in arts and crafts this is the camp for them.

Camp One began on Tuesday, March 25 and will run until Friday, March 29.

Easter camp at IOAC

Attend the exciting Adventure Camp this Easter at the International Outdoor Adventure Centre (IOAC) in Rosslare.

IOAC Easter Camp runs from Monday, April 1 – Friday, April 5. Suitable for children aged eight years and over. During the week, the children will complete activities, including raft-building, kayaking, crate stacking and much more.
