Rosanna Davison has revealed the unusual method of communication that she and her husband Wes Quirke use now that they have three children.

The couple, who have been together for almost two decades, share daughter Sophia (4) and twin boys Hugo and Oscar (3).

Life has been hectic for the former Miss World and her husband, who is heir to the Dr Quirkey entertainment dynasty, since welcoming their little ones into the world – and Rosanna admits that they barely get a second to themselves these days.

Speaking to the Sunday World at the Platinum VIP Style Awards in Dublin, she explained that most of her interactions with Wes take place online because the kids keep them so busy.

“It’s very hard to hold a conversation at home with kids. We were only laughing today about how most of our conversations are on WhatsApp when the kids are in school and he’s at work,” she shared.

“We communicate mainly through (Instagram) Reels, tagging each other in funny Reels about parenting or through WhatsApp.

“He’s a great dad. He’s really capable and we’re a good team. We’re supportive of each other and we have a laugh together.

“It’s lovely to be with someone who’s supportive and we give each other our freedom.”

It’s a big year of milestones for the mum-of-three, who celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this month.

She joked that she had “reframed” her age to “30 10” rather than 40.

The birthday girl laughed: “My husband went to the party shop last week for my birthday and said, ‘My wife’s turning 30 10,’ and the guy goes, ‘what?’

“He came home with balloons saying 30 and 10, because I was like, ‘Just don’t put any fours in there. We’re fine without fours.’

“But I’m really happy and I’m where I want to be in life with my family. I was delighted to turn 40 and I feel great. I have no complaints.”

And this summer, Rosanna and Wes will celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary in the company of her dad Chris de Burgh and mum Diane.

“We’re going to Majorca because my dad let it slip about a month ago that he’s playing a concert there and I was like, ‘Oh, want us to join you and cheer you on?’” she told us.

“And he said, ‘Well, I actually had plans for a relaxing week with your mother’ and now we’re turning up with the kids for a little family trip away.

“The grandparents will be there and my brother’s coming with his girlfriend, who’s also bringing kids. So, hopefully a good adult to toddler ratio.

“We’ll probably just go for dinner on the day, but it will be nice to be away.”

Rosanna is also fresh off our television screens after competing in RTÉ’s Dancing With the Stars.

She was the fifth celebrity to be voted off the show, narrowly missing out on her chance to make it to the quarter finals.

While she misses the camaraderie on set, she’s glad to leave the “intense cardio” and lengthy training sessions behind her.

“I don’t miss the intensity of it - we were doing six hours a day of rehearsals. But I miss the friends I made and the experience and the buzz of live TV,” the Dubliner admitted.

“Most of us were approaching burnout towards the end because it was exhausting, but it was still a great experience to have.

“I felt great after about two weeks after less intense cardio every day.”

However, she said that the experience taught her so much about herself.

“It was so much more than the sum of its parts. There was so much self-growth and self development, learning how you can push yourself into a zone that’s so terrifying.

“Dancing on live TV as someone who’s never done that before was scary but I’m really proud of myself for pushing myself.”
